Bio
Over the course of her high school career, Dakota has
participated in numerous activities as well as, kept a rare GPA.
She has sought for excellence in the field of dentistry and in
her own personal life. She is an active leader in her church and
a strong faith-based person. She aspires to be a family dentist
and serve 4 years in the Navy. She is extremely grateful for all
of the opportunities that she has been given and thanks all who
have made her dream possible.

Oral Roberts University(ORU) starts fall of 2010

High School Program/Dental Program
-
Dakota has been enrolled in the 3 year medical program existing
at her high school. Dakota has earned her CPR and First Aid
Certification. In her second semester of her final year, she has
been able to perform clinicals (career interning) at Shierling
and Woodham Family Dentistry.

As part of her high school requirements, she was required to
make a senior project composed of 5 visual aspects. She in turn,
made a booklet comprised of hand drawings, a research paper, and
an interview with one of the dentists, a career shadowing form,
and 26 informational pages consisting of 26 dental tools with
descriptions.

Dental Internship
This program consists of orientation (meets legal
responsibilities,etc.), Infection Control, Chairside Assisting,
Dental Radiology, and the Dental Equipment and Office. This
program has effectively made Dakota grow and flourish in the
knowledge of the dental field.
